Me Made May is back again! Are you participating this year? I participated on a whim last year and had so much fun, that I actually looked forward to this month all year! Even though sewists often post their "me-mades" on Instagram, with hashtags and all, it's fun to have a whole month dedicated to handmade wardrobes. I am quite a minimalist, so many of my "me-mades" this year are the same as last. But that's also part of a sustainable wardrobe! Making clothes that last!
Here's what I've worn so far this May:
(From left to right, top to bottom)
day 1: self-drafted racer-back tank top in ribbed, striped organic knit cotton from Nosh Organics & (mostly) self-drafted up-cycled pleated shorts with pockets.
day 2: Alice top pattern by Tessuti Patterns in Grey Bark fabric by Merchant & Mills & (mostly) self-drafted up-cycled pleated shorts with pockets
day 3: self-drafted boat neck sleeveless sweatshirt in mustard loop-back sweatshirting by Nosh Organics (pattern coming soon!)
day 4: ballet top DELPY by halfmoon ATELIER with dress extension (extension coming soon!) in lightweight blue denim from Sew Natural (NL)
day 5: RTW tank top & (mostly) self-drafted up-cycled pleated shorts with pockets
day 6: self-drafted oval t-shirt in mustard striped knit from Nosh Organics (now unavailable, but here's a fabulous blue stripe in the same fabric type!) & up-cycled jean shorts
day 7: finger-knit headbands with tutorial from Knitting without Needles by Anne Weil from Flax & Twine
