It's the last day of the jumpsuit TOFO Sew Along. Today we'll do all the finishing touches like add the yoke facing, elastic, buttons and hem the shorts.
STEP 27
Using a safety pin insert ¼” elastic through the back opening. Secure ends with a safety pin and try on jumpsuit to make sure the elastic is comfortable.
Zigzag ends of elastic and close the 2” opening at the back.
STEP 28
Iron fusible interfacing to front and back facings.
STEP 29
Sew sides of facing together.
STEP 30
Sew buttonholes onto facings.
STEP 31
Attach facing to top of bodice.
STEP 32
Understitch facing.
STEP 33: Back casing
At 2⅛” down from the top edge, start stitching 2” away from side seams and topstitch back only stopping at 2” from the other side seam.
STEP 34
Using a safety pin insert 2” non-roll elastic through the back casing. Secure at both sides of side seams
STEP 35
Starting where you stopped stitching at the back topstitch around the garment sewing in the seam of the front yoke.
STEP 36
Sew buttons at markings.
STEP 37
Attach shoulder straps to bodice.

Hem shorts
